Take Makhana in a bowl.
Now bake it in the oven for 30 sec and then cut it into small pieces. You can also skip this step.
Now take olive oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil gets hot, add asafoetida and turmeric in it. And add Makhana to it and keep stirring it little by little. After a minute switch off the stove and add red chillies, chaat masala and salt and stir well.
